What Do I Do If I Have a Pet Emergency?

When our clinics are closed, we do provide on-call emergency care after hours. To use our services, please follow these important steps:

Call the regular clinic phone number as listed: 320-235-7396

You will listen to a message, and after, you will hear a tone/beep.

Please leave in your message: type of emergency, name, and most importantly, your PHONE NUMBER *Please keep the phone line open so we can reach you.

When your call ends, the veterinarian on call will receive notification of your message and attempt to return your call.

After discussing the emergency with the on-call veterinarian, we can form a treatment plan. When necessary, the veterinarian will meet you at the clinic.

What To Keep In Mind During an Emergency

The South 71 Veterinary Clinic in Willmar, MN, always has a veterinarian on-call. The veterinarian is on-call but may not be at the clinic at the time of your call.

Emergencies for our satellite clinics: Granite Falls, and Montevideo, MN, are conducted at the Willmar location only.

There are times the veterinarian may not get back to you immediately due to a current emergency or technological issues.

If you call and do NOT hear from the veterinarian in a timely manner, please call back.
